The Gliga III is a 3/4 size European violin outfit built in the Gliga workshops in Romania, using timber selected from the Carpathian Mountains and finished with a dark oil varnish developed for the Australian market. It has a solid spruce top and solid maple back, neck and sides with inlaid purfling, an ebony fingerboard, ebony Swiss-style pegs, an ebony chinrest and endpin, an Aubert #5 bridge and a Wittner Ultralight tailpiece with built-in string adjusters, strung with German Pirastro Tonica strings. The outfit includes an FPS shaped woodshell case and an FPS Brazilwood bow with ebony frog and horsehair.
