The Gliga II is a 3/4 size violin outfit built in the Gliga workshops in Romania, one step up from the Gliga III in timber grade. It has a solid spruce top with tighter grain and a solid maple back, neck and sides beginning to show flame, finished with a hand-applied dark antique oil varnish over a Stradivari pattern body. Fittings include an ebony fingerboard, ebony Swiss-style pegs, an ebony teka chinrest, an Aubert #5 bridge and a Wittner Ultralight tailpiece with inbuilt adjusters, strung with Pirastro Violino strings. The outfit is supplied in a TG Hill-style lightweight oblong case with an FPS Brazilwood bow with ebony frog and horsehair.
