Gliga II Violin Outfit Antique w/Violino – 1/2

The Gliga II series is the next step up from the Gliga III, using higher-grade timber for enhanced tone and visual appeal. Outfit strings are upgraded to Pirastro Violino, and the instrument is supplied in a TG Hill-style lightweight case.

The Gliga II violin features improved timber, workmanship, and strings, giving the advancing pupil a new freedom of expression.

All timber received into the Gliga workshop is independently graded and allocated to each craftsperson before building begins. Wood selected for Gliga II instruments begins to show tighter grain on the spruce for improved resonance, while the maple starts to display attractive flame. Naturally, these higher grades of wood are assigned to more experienced makers, allowing greater attention to be given to the careful processes of carving and tuning the plates.

The combination of higher quality tonewoods and extra care in construction provides the Gliga II with a more pleasing tone in the hands of the intermediate student. The flamed maple reflects the growing accomplishment of the player, while the range of oil finishes and antiquing options allows for individuality and freedom of expression in the recital hall.

Pirastro Violino strings are fitted to Gliga II violins and are known for their easy playability, enabling players to explore a wider range of tone colour compared with entry-level strings. 1/2 size outfits are completed with the popular TG Hill-style lightweight oblong case and the FPS brazilwood horsehair bow.
