The Stentor Student 1 is a 1/2 size violin outfit built from carved solid tonewoods, with a carved spruce top and carved maple back, neck and ribs, finished in mid chestnut. It has an African hardwood fingerboard, Pau Rosa pegs and inlaid purfling, with a Teka-style chinrest, a composite tailpiece with 4 fine adjusters and a fitted bridge. The outfit includes a wood bow with ebony frog and natural horsehair, plus a blue shaped lightweight case with an external shoulder rest, bow holder, music pockets, shoulder straps, Stentor rosin and safety reflectors.
